A woman was left with life-threatening injuries after a reported hit-and-run crash in Lincolnia last night.

The incident occurred before 11:30 p.m. yesterday (Sunday) on Little River Turnpike at the Oasis Drive intersection, the Fairfax County Police Department reported.

(Updated at 12:40 p.m.) Fairfax County police are investigating a vehicle crash in Annandale that sent four pedestrians, along with the vehicle’s occupants, to the hospital.

The crash occurred in the 7200 block of Maple Place, which is currently closed to traffic between Annandale Road and Daniels Avenue.

Updated at 8:15 p.m.All Route 28 lanes have now reopened, but a man remains hospitalized, and police are continuing to investigate the crash.

Earlier: Two people have been transported to the hospital, one with life-threatening injuries, after a two-vehicle crash on Route 28 in Chantilly.

A man in the Kings Park West area shot and killed his wife before dying by suicide on Saturday (May 14), the Fairfax County Police Department reported this afternoon (Monday).

Madeline Bregman, 76, and Michael Bregman, 77, were found deceased inside their home in the 10400 block of Stallworth Court, just north of Robinson Secondary School, when officers stopped by before 3 p.m. for a welfare check, according to police.

An argument ended in three men getting stabbed behind the North County Human Services Center in Reston last night (Sunday), Fairfax County police say.

According to the Fairfax County Police Department, three men “were engaged in a verbal argument that escalated to a physical assault” around 11:33 p.m. at 1850 Cameron Glen Drive.

Family of Slain Alexandria Man Urge FCPD to Resume Search — Family members and friends of Ahmed Hasheem Ebrahim called on Fairfax County police yesterday (Thursday) to resume searching for his body at a landfill in King George County. Two men and a woman allegedly stole several pairs of shoes from a person who had agreed to meet them to sell property in the 1900 block of Old Gallows Road around 5:30 p.m.

The single-vehicle incident occurred around 12:25 a.m. on Manchester Blvd at Beulah Street, Fairfax County police reported.

(Updated at 2:25 p.m. on 5/12/2022) The high-stakes battle over abortion access reached a residential neighborhood in Fort Hunt last night (Monday) when protestors marched on U.S. Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito’s house.

Drawing about 100 participants, the demonstration was organized by the grassroots protest group ShutDown DC in response to Alito’s draft opinion indicating that the court will overturn its pivotal 1973 Roe v. Wade decision.

A bicyclist has been hospitalized after a crash in Belle Haven last night (Monday) that involved another cyclist and an SUV.

Fairfax County police were on the scene of the crash at Belle Haven and Fort Hunt roads around 7:30 p.m., the department reported. The intersection was closed for more than three hours while police investigated.
