Neutral Ground Bar + Kitchen from Arlington chef David Guas is set to open early next year at 6641 Old Dominion Drive, moving into the former Assaggi Osteria & Pizzeria space.

A new Southeast Asian restaurant will join Scout on the Circle in Fairfax this September, business owner Gary Ngo says.

Located at 9530 Fairfax Blvd next to Peri Peri Original, Southeast Impression is slated to occupy a 4,104-square-foot spot in Building Two of the popular mixed-use strip — the largest commercial space in the building, according to a site plan from property manager H&R Retail.

The first retail tenants at the Heming apartment building coming to Scotts Run in Tysons have been confirmed.

The Japanese restaurant Modan and fitness studio Body Fit Training have both leased ground-floor space in the 28-story high-rise at 1800 Chain Bridge Road, developer Skanska announced yesterday (Monday).

Mirch Dhamaka is expected to occupy a nearly 3,600-square-foot spot at 2443 Centreville Road, according to signage posted at the location.

Visitors to Capital One Center in Tysons might’ve noticed signs advertising an upcoming change for Starr Hill Brewery, operator of the development’s rooftop beer garden.

The company confirmed today (Tuesday) that it will expand its presence in the neighborhood with a new, street-level brewpub, featuring a new food menu and two bars.

A new restaurant has moved into the Fairfax Square space once filled by Chef Geoff’s.

Described as a “high end” Persian restaurant from noted chefs Najmieh Batmanglij and Christopher Morgan, Joon will open at 11:30 a.m. tomorrow (Tuesday) at 8045 Leesburg Pike in Tysons.

(Updated 8:45 a.m. on 6/8/2023) Moo Thru, a popular ice cream parlor that sells handmade, locally sourced ice cream, is coming to the Town of Herndon this summer.

The family-owned business is expected to open a truck sometime next week at 317 Spring Street, according to franchise owner Caitlin Kenney. A brick-and-mortar store will follow in July.

Tysons will get a Korean fried chicken restaurant this year, but it’ll no longer be Bonchon.

After getting a tip in January that signage installed at 8603 Westwood Center Drive had been removed, FFXnow was told that the location was still in the works. However, a Bonchon spokesperson has now confirmed that the planned restaurant isn’t moving forward.

A fast-casual chicken salad company is planning a move into Fairfax County, but exactly when and where it will stake its claim remains to be seen.

Chicken Salad Chick, which bills itself as the only fast-casual chicken salad concept in the U.S., has signed a development agreement with a local family to open eight new franchises in Fairfax and Arlington counties over the next five years, the business announced yesterday.
