Dulles Center LLC plans to build 55 stacked townhouses at 13490 Coppermine Road.
Access to the development would be provided through an existing access point at Coppermine Road and a right-in and right-out entrance on Centreville Road.
“The proposed development has been designed to fit into the fabric of the existing community, reduce impacts from the currently approved development, avoids any impacts to the existing Resource Protection Area, and allows for additional housing options in this part of Fairfax County,” the March 22 application says.
The existing bank on the site will remain, according to the application.
Dominion Virginia Power has already reviewed and approved the site layout. Five parcels of land owned by the applicant were consolidated to move forward with the development.
The townhouses would face Centreville Road in an effort to create an “attractive street edge” and complement the neighboring condominium community — Coppermine Crossing.
The application was submitted to the county at the end of March and is in the early phases of developmental review.
