A new store offering fashion accessories and home goods is coming soon to Springfield Town Center.

Be & Cheery is focused on “promoting beauty and embracing individuality,” spokesperson Chunyan Chen said.

“The ultimate goal is to contribute to physical and mental health and happiness,” Chen said. “Be & Cheery believes that everyone is beautiful. Be & Cheery, be who they are.”

According to a Fairfax County permit, the 3,537-square-foot store will be located on the mall’s second floor in Suite 23032, directly next to JCPenney. While the mall already has a variety of shops for fashion accessories, it appears that options are limited for home goods.

However, with no website and a lack of a footprint, it remains to be seen what type of selection Be & Cheery will offer at the store. On the mall’s website, the brand bills itself as a “one-stop shop” for “fashion accessories, beauty, cosmetics, personal care, household and small decor items.”

Be & Cheery currently has two stores that opened earlier this year — one in Manassas and one in Wheaton, Maryland — and it’s eyeing another in Newport News. When the opportunity came to open a site in Fairfax, the brand jumped on it, Chen said.

“It’s a spacious, attractive, and well-maintained place with very friendly people,” Chen said.

A targeted opening date for the store has not been made public.

Other recent changes at Springfield Town Center include the addition of a Build-A-Bear kiosk, which now appears to be open. Construction is also underway on an apartment building that, along with a hotel, will further owner PREIT’s plans to transform the property from a shopping mall into a mixed-use community hub.
