Eight players from Fairfax County high schools were members of the Hampden-Sydney College football team during the fall season.
Three of the players were significant contributors for the Division III Virginia team that finished with a 5-5 overall record and 3-4 in conference play.
Sophomore defensive back Cam Jackson is a West Potomac High School graduate. He played in six games, breaking up three passes and making 11 tackles for the Tigers.
Lewis High graduate Gabe Menjivar was a senior offensive lineman. He played in six games.
The top local contributor was McLean High graduate Kaelan Ferris. The freshman runningback played in eight games. He carried the ball 26 times, gaining 140 yards. His longest run was 45 yards.
Ferris caught three passes for 27 yards and he had one kickoff return for 23 yards. His best game rushing the ball was against Guilford College, when he ran for 87 yards on 11 carries.
Ferris was an all-Liberty District player for McLean, rushing for well more than 1,000 yards during his high-school career.
Two other West Potomac graduates were members of the 2024 Hampden-Sydney team. There were freshman safety Mason Hopper and sophomore linebacker Charlie Armstrong.
From Lake Braddock, Jack Rubino was a freshman runningback, West Springfield graduate Jacob McKinney was a junior defensive lineman and Chantilly grad Andrew Lampe was a freshman offensive lineman.
