The Fairfax County Police Department said a man was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a victim inside a Target (12197 Sunset Hills Road) near the Reston Town Center.
Police said in a release today that the incident took place on April 14 around 1:40 p.m.
The release said the man, Jonathan David Bavon, was arrested by the Major Crimes Bureau’s Child Abuse Squad after he was found hiding inside a clothing rack in the Target after the incident.
Bavon is charged with aggravated sexual battery, simple assault and obstruction of justice, as well as being served a warrant for an unrelated incident. He is being held without bond.

Detectives from our Major Crimes Bureau’s Child Abuse Squad have arrested a man after he sexually assaulted a victim inside a retail store in Reston.
On April 14, at 1:43 p.m., officers responded to a sex offense case at a retail store in the 12100 block of Sunset Hills Road in Reston. Officers learned while the victim was inside the store, a male suspect touched the victim inappropriately.
Officers located and arrested Jonathan David Bavon, 24, of no fixed address hiding inside of a clothing rack inside the store. Bavon was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and charged with Aggravated Sexual Battery, Simple Assault, and Obstruction of Justice. He was also served a warrant on an unrelated incident. He is being held on no bond.
