Taste of Vienna food festival hits town this weekend

A long-popular food festival in Northern Virginia is back for its 12th year.

The annual Taste of Vienna will be held this Saturday at the Vienna Volunteer Fire Department, providing patrons the chance to taste more than 30 different eateries all in one location.

Though the event is a fundraiser, Taste of Vienna is free to attend. Those looking to dine must purchase items directly from booths or food trucks on site, however.

Participating restaurants include:

  • Thai O’Clock (Thai)
  • Pure Pasty Co. (British)
  • Family of Nuts
  • Empanadas De Mendoza (Latin)
  • Ned’s New England Deck (Seafood)
  • Chit Chaat Cafe (Indian)
  • Chicken Salad Chick
  • Vocelli Pizza (Italian)
  • Tony’s NY Pizza (Italian)
  • Inca Social (Peruvian)
  • Index Coffee
  • kusshi (Sushi)
  • Vivi Bubble Tea
  • Caffe Amouri
  • Carnegie Diner & Cafe
  • Moby Dick House of Kabob (Persian)
  • Famous Dave’s (Barbecue)
  • Great Harvest Bread Company
  • Pizza Vienna (Italian)

Multiple dessert options will also be available, from shops like Ben & Jerry’s, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Kay’s Smoothies, Smoothie King, MidnighTreats and Rita’s.

Drink tickets, for entrance into a beer and wine tent, are available for a fee.

The event has had fundraising success in recent years, raising nearly $20,000 in 2022 to go toward the purchase of a new fire engine and continued support of its general operations.

Beyond the bites, the event will feature live entertainment, including a slate of musical performances. A moonbounce also highlights the list of kids activities.

Located at 400 Center Street S, Taste of Vienna starts at 11 a.m. and runs until 8 p.m.
