UPDATED: Corsica Wine Bar opens in early September at Reston Town Center

Update — Corsica Wine Bar is now open at Reston Town Center, a spokesperson confirmed to FFXnow.

It’s currently open for walk-in diners from 4 p.m. to midnight on Sunday through Thursday, and from 2 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. Reservations will begin on Sept. 15, and brunch and happy hours are “coming soon.”

Earlier: Corsica Wine Bar is nearing its debut at Reston Town Center.

While an official date remains up in the air, the new restaurant is on track to open this month (September) at 11950 Democracy Drive, Suite 120, just a block away from its sister concept Barcelona Wine Bar, a Corsica spokesperson says.

Corsica appears to have finished building out its approximately 6,802-square-foot space, which was vacated by Mon Ami Gabi at the end of 2023. Fairfax County staff closed out their review of an occupancy permit on Aug. 19, per online records, and a new sign and green overhangs have been installed.

The restaurant is also in the process of hiring staff, with available positions ranging from executive chef to bartenders, server and dishwashers.

The Reston location will only be Corsica’s second after the Barcelona Wine Bar team originally launched the concept in spring 2024 in Denver, Colorado.

Focused on small plates, the menu was inspired by the varied cuisine of the Mediterranean island for which it’s named, sporting French, Italian and Spanish influences. Dishes offered by the Denver restaurant include pasta, Bastian meatballs, tuna carpaccio, barbajuan (crispy ravioli) and more, though the business hasn’t commented so far on whether the Reston location will have the same menu.

Corsica in Denver also has an extensive wine, liquor and cocktail list, along with some cafe-style beverages like espressos and hot tea.

Corsica will be located across from the recently opened Shake Shack. Other retail businesses expected to arrive soon at the main Reston Town Center include MidnighTreats, Kusshi Sushi and the boutique jewelry store House of Urbi, which is now advertising a September opening on its website.

Property owner and developer BXP has also confirmed several restaurants planned at its expansion of the town center, known informally as RTC Next, including a second location of Vienna’s Clarity, Paris Baguette, Toastique, Yunnan by Potomac Noodle House, and a paired location for the Italian restaurant Grazie Nonna and the deli Grazie Grazie.

Meanwhile, Spectrum at Reston Town Center to the north welcomed an expanded Whole Foods Market on Aug. 6.
