Paisano’s Pizza offers free slices to christen new flagship location this weekend

A local pizza chain will celebrate its newest location this weekend.

Paisano’s Pizza will hold a grand re-opening on Saturday (Sept. 6) for its new flagship location, located at 12595 Fair Lakes Circle, according to a company spokesperson.

The new restaurant replaces the brand’s original location at the Shoppes at Fair Lakes, where it launched in June 1998. It has now moved less than a mile away from the old restaurant, basically just across Fairfax County Parkway.

“Reopening this flagship store, bigger and better, just a half mile away from where we opened our first location 27 years ago, means a lot to us,” Paisano’s CEO Fouad Qreitem said.

As part of Saturday’s festivities, Paisano’s will hand out free slices from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for noon.

“We are looking forward to celebrating with our customers,” Qreitem added, “whether you’ve been with us since the beginning or you are just learning about us today.”

The new restaurant is substantially larger than the old location, jumping to 1,850 square feet — an over 50% increase in space.

Accordingly, the new location will offer an expanded interior dining area, as well as a “contemporary design with sleek seating.” The walls are decorated with a custom mural and photos illustrating the company’s history, from its opening day in 1998 to its ongoing partnership with the Washington Commanders.

Founded in the late 1990s, Paisano’s has grown into one of the most popular pizza chains in the D.C. area. Along with 36 locations across Virginia, D.C. and Maryland, the brand came in second in FFXnow’s Reader Choice poll of the best pizza spots in Fairfax County earlier this year.
