The City of Fairfax Police Department is investigating multiple crimes believed to have been perpetrated by a group of “young adults and juveniles.”
Each of the incidents in question occurred over the past weekend at various different locations, the department announced yesterday (Monday).
Around 9 p.m. on Friday (Oct. 17), a “group of disorderly individuals” were observed at Fairfax High School’s football game, at least one of whom was escorted off the campus.
Roughly an hour later, a robbery was reported at the McDonald’s restaurant at 10775 Fairfax Blvd. The suspects reportedly assaulted a juvenile before stealing their clothing, according to Fairfax City police.
“Some of these suspects are believed to be the same individuals from the incident at the football game,” police said.
On Saturday (Oct. 18) night, officers responded to a residence in the 4000 block of Virginia Street for a reported robbery and assault.
“During the assault a firearm was discharged striking a wall,” Fairfax City police said.
The victim of the assault suffered non-life-threatening injuries, and their shoes and clothing were taken.
The following morning (Oct. 19), at approximately 5:50 p.m., officers responded to a shoplifting call at the Wawa gas station at 9700 Fairfax Blvd.
“The same group of individuals is believed to have stolen multiple items and fled the area,” police said.
