A rapidly-expanding restaurant chain has officially opened its doors in Springfield.
Milk & Honey‘s latest Southern-inspired kitchen is now serving diners at 8326 Old Keene Mill Road in the Cardinal Forest Plaza shopping center.
“This Springfield opening represents our continued commitment to growing within communities that share our passion for great food and genuine connection,” Alex Berentzen, chief operating officer of the chain’s parent company Thompson Restaurants, said in a statement.
The new restaurant is the brand’s fifth in Northern Virginia — joining outposts in Fairfax City and Old Town Alexandria, among others — and its 19th location in all.
Each of the brand’s eateries features an abundant menu that centers on southern flavors and traditional techniques.
An online menu for the new restaurant includes original offerings like fried green tomatoes and seafood gumbo, though the restaurant also offers a wide variety of brunch bites, such as cheesecake pancakes, crispy salmon hash and much more.
A limited selection of sandwiches is also available at the West Springfield restaurant, including a portobello mushroom sandwich and a blackened salmon BLT.
Aesthetically, the 3,300-square-foot storefront — which formerly housed Tacos & Tequila — embraces the brand’s “signature style,” featuring “dramatic lighting, whimsical wallpaper, plush copper-crushed velvet banquettes [a] and bold tiled bar that add playful sophistication,” according to a press release.
“It’s the kind of place where the energy hits just right,” Berentzen said, “whether you’re grabbing brunch with friends or settling in for a relaxed dinner.”
The restaurant is open daily from 9 a.m.-9 p.m.
