A 79-year-old woman was found fatally stabbed in an apartment near the Innovation Center Metro Station near Herndon yesterday (Tuesday).
Officers responded to the 2300 block of Dulles Station Blvd around 10 a.m. after a caretaker “reported that she arrived at her patient’s residence and found her unresponsive,” the Fairfax County Police Department said in a news release today.
Norma Little was found with stab wounds to her upper body and declared deceased at the scene, according to police.
A homicide investigation by the FCPD’s Major Crimes Bureau detectives is now underway. Police say Little’s death doesn’t appear to be a random act.
“Detectives continue to conduct interviews, collect video surveillance, and process evidence recovered from the scene to determine the circumstances that led up to the fatal stabbing,” the FCPD said.
