A Chantilly man will go on trial in April for allegedly strangling his wife to death during an argument last year.
Alexander William Towne, 33, is charged with second-degree murder in the 2025 death of 32-year-old Kim White. An order entered into the record on Oct. 16 set April 19, 2027 as the start date for a five-day jury trial in Fairfax County Circuit Court before Judge Christie Leary.
First responders arrived at the house in the 16000 block of Bromall Court in Chantilly at 7:48 p.m. on May 24, 2025. According to the criminal complaint, Towne called emergency dispatchers to report that his wife was dead after he choked her during an argument.
Towne reportedly told dispatchers “I don’t think she’s with us any longer,” the complaint says.
Fairfax County police said they hadn’t been called to the residence before for any domestic incidents. They also said a child was inside the home at the time of the assault, but they were not injured.
Court documents don’t indicate the subject of the argument. Towne is in custody without bond at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.
