Steakhouse to take over Reston Town Center space vacated by Il Fornaio

The space was formerly occupied by Il Fornaio.

A new steakhouse is coming soon to Reston Town Center.

Ruth’s Chris Steak House will take over space formerly occupied for 10 years by Il Fornaio at 11990 Market Street, according to county permits.

Il Fornaio vacated the space in 2017 after a decade of business.

A spokesperson for Ruth’s Hospitality Group said the company was not ready to share any information about the Reston location.

Ruth Fertel started the steakhouse in 1965 after mortgaging her home to buy a steakhouse in New Orleans. The business currently has locations in Tysons and Fairfax.

Several new businesses are expected to open in Reston Town Center this year. The Washington Business Journal reported last week that Pisco y Nazca Ceviche Gastrobar, a Peruvian restaurant, is expected to open in space formerly occupied by Vapiano.

Another Brazilian steakhouse — Fogo de Chão — is also expected to open in the town center some time this year.
