A national outdoor furniture retailer held a grand opening for its new Springfield store today (Thursday).
Fortunoff Backyard Store is now open at Springfield Commons, with a new, 11,000-square-foot store and showroom at 6721B Frontier Drive. The showroom sells a variety of outdoor furniture, including dining sets, chaises, gazebos, fire pits and other patio decor.
Fortunoff celebrated the Springfield shop’s opening with a ribbon cutting this morning, according to a press release. The storefront reportedly underwent a $500,000 renovation project before today’s grand opening, according to Fairfax County records.
The Springfield location is the New York-based company’s latest D.C.-area outpost to open over the past 18 months, joining other locations in Bailey’s Crossroads, Sterling and Woodbridge.
“This fourth location is a great compliment to those existing stores and represents our commitment to the market,” a spokesperson previously told FFXnow.
Fortunoff owns and operates about 30 showrooms across the northeast and Mid-Atlantic. Elsewhere on the east coast, the company is celebrating another showroom grand opening today in Stony Brook, New York.
