Greenbriar Town Center will soon offer a new option for locals with a sweet tooth.
Dumont Creamery & Cafe—founded in Hyderabad, India, before expanding to the U.S. in 2024—will open at 13041C Route 50, Suite C, near Chantilly, with a soft launch Aug. 14, the company confirmed to FFXnow. A grand opening will follow on Aug. 21.
FFXnow first reported on the store, which is Dumont’s first Virginia location, in January.
The upscale ice cream shop, whose menu includes internationally-inspired scoops from a Mint Basil Sorbet to Kheer (a traditional Indian sweet rice dish), has just one other location in the mid-Atlantic, in Woodstock, Md. Dumont will also serve boba teas and coffee drinks in the 1,300-square-foot space.
According to a social media post by a real estate company, Dumont is also seeking expansion opportunities in Herndon, Ashburn and Leesburg.
Changes have been underway in the high-traffic Greenbriar Town Center this year.
Next door — in the space occupied by Dogfish Head Alehouse until it closed in 2023 — popular Korean restaurant Meokja Meokja opened a second location this spring. Longtime tenant Mod Pizza permanently closed its Greenbriar restaurant earlier this spring, and Fairfax County permit records show that new tenant Talkin’ Tacos is conducting renovations inside.
