America’s Best Wings, a national chain of chicken wing restaurants, launched its first Fairfax County location today (Friday).

The fast-food company’s latest franchise opened to customers around 11 a.m. at the Cedar Park Shopping Center (262 Cedar Lane SE, Suite E) in Vienna. The soft opening precedes plans for a more formal introduction to the town next week.

Rateba Grill and Ramen has opened at the Pan Am Shopping Center in Merrifield.

Offering a combination of Korean food and Japanese noodle soups, the new restaurant celebrated its grand opening on Tuesday (July 5). It replaced Lo’s Restaurant at 3075 Nutley Street, next to Bangkok St. Thai.

A new dining option is coming together at Tysons Corner Center.

The fast-casual chain Mezeh Mediterranean Grill plans to open a 3,134-square-foot restaurant with outdoor seating at the mall later this year, the company confirmed to FFXnow.

The now-vacant shell of Clyde’s of Reston — which closed last month after more than three decades of business in Reston’s urban heart — will soon be filled by a new wine-focused restaurant.

According to a report by the Washington Business Journal, the Dallas-based restaurant Sixty Vines has signed a deal with Boston Properties for roughly 10,000 square feet of space at 11905 Market Street.

Suspect in Annandale Burglaries Arrested — Fairfax County police have arrested and charged a 19-year-old man from Annandale in connection to nine commercial burglaries reported between May 26 and June 14. The suspect broke the front glass doors of each of the businesses, took cash and left on a bicycle, police say. [FCPD]

Covid Quarantine Guidelines Amended — The Virginia Department of Health no longer recommends quarantining for people exposed to COVID-19 who are up to date on their vaccinations or have recovered the disease in the last six months — double what the CDC advises. (Updated at 12:10 p.m. on 6/16/2022) Pupatella Neapolitan Pizza and a juice bar from Pressed are fully open for business at the Mosaic District in Merrifield.

After roughly 10 months of construction and other preparations, Pupatella announced on Monday (June 13) that its newest location is now operating seven days a week, from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday through Thursday and until 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

(Updated at 1:45 p.m. on 6/14/22) A new lounge and bar is filling out ground-floor space at a residential neighborhood on Reston Station Boulevard.

Eve’s Garden plans to open soon at Faraday Park, a redevelopment of a 7-acre site into two apartment buildings and townhouses. The restaurant will be located at 11207 Reston Station Boulevard, according to county permits. (An earlier version of this article had the wrong address number.)
