A woman stabbed a man after a dispute at a business in Springfield yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon, Fairfax County Police Department said.

The man and the 35-year-old woman got into an argument before she stabbed him and left, police said. A community member found the man in the parking lot with a stab wound to the upper body.

Suspect in Annandale Burglaries Arrested — Fairfax County police have arrested and charged a 19-year-old man from Annandale in connection to nine commercial burglaries reported between May 26 and June 14. A coyote reportedly bit multiple people in the Springfield area this weekend, including a police officer who shot it.

The Fairfax County Police Department says it received a report around 8 a.m. on Saturday (June 4) of three adults being bitten by a wild coyote in Lake Accotink Park. The animal also bit two dogs, police later confirmed.

(Updated 1:50 p.m.) A freight train struck a tractor-trailer in Springfield this afternoon (Thursday), sending the truck driver to the hospital with minor injuries, the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department said.

Just before 1 p.m., the train struck the tractor-trailer at a low speed at the intersection of Iron Place and Industrial Drive, the department tweeted.
