Belle Haven Fire Started in Bedroom — “On Wednesday, March 4, at 4:13 a.m., the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department responded to reports of a house fire in the 2600 block of East Side Drive … Fire investigators determined the fire originated within the wall of a second-floor bedroom as the result of an electrical event.” No injuries were reported, but the fire caused an estimated $20,129 in property damages. A Harrisonburg man who claimed to be a pastor is now in Fairfax County custody after being accused of a sexual assault in Merrifield, police said today (Friday).
Marco Antonio Ocampos Zamora allegedly traveled to Merrifield for an in-person “counseling session” with a woman he met online who believed he was a pastor. The woman told detectives that she was sexually assaulted during the session, according to the Fairfax County Police Department.
