Fairfax City is gearing up for its annual summer beer crawl this weekend.

The event, hosted by Fairfax City Economic Development, the Old Town Fairfax Business Association, and the Central Fairfax Chamber of Commerce, will take place this Saturday, June 22, from noon to 6 p.m.

Tickets start at $15 and can be purchased online through the Central Fairfax Chamber of Commerce’s website. It’s $20 for walk-ins, but beer enthusiasts can buy tickets between now and the event’s start.  There are three time slots for people to choose from: noon, 1 p.m., and 2 p.m.

There are no refunds for no-shows, per the website.

Ticket holders will receive a t-shirt and a “commemorative insulated cup” and experience a hops-filled adventure across Old Town Fairfax. There are 13 restaurants participating, each offering various food and beverage specials.

“Whether you’re a passionate foodie, a hop head, or simply someone who appreciates good food and great company, the Old Town Fairfax Summer Crawl is the COOLEST way to immerse yourself in the local dining scene, discover hidden culinary treasures, and create lasting memories,” the website states.

Started in 2019, Fairfax City typically hosts two bar crawls annually — one in the summer and another in the fall — to highlight the city’s walkability and celebrate its diverse offerings. This year, organizers are expecting around 200 attendees.

“We invite everyone to Old Town Fairfax to explore our fantastic pubs, breweries, bars, and restaurants. Discover the vibrant retail scene, rich history, and all the wonderful attractions that make Old Town Fairfax a unique and exciting destination.” Central Fairfax Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Jennifer Rose told FFXnow.
