King Arthur Baking Company’s bake truck will make its long-awaited local debut this weekend.
The truck will dish out free chocolate chip cookies this Saturday (Nov. 9) in Fairfax Corner, near the brand’s new pop-up store, starting at 11 a.m.
The cookies will be baked by Fairfax City’s Liberty Baking Co. Each person will be allowed to get one cookie, while supplies last.
The truck compliments the brand’s temporary store, which opened at Fairfax Corner in September and aims to be a one-stop shop for all baking needs. Many of the brand’s products — ranging from various bread and pastry mixes to specialty flours — are available for purchase, along with tools, other ingredients and more.
“We decided on Fairfax because we know you have a great foodie scene there,” company director of marketing and communications Carey Underwood told FFXnow in September. “A lot of baking is happening.”
The pop-up store, located at 11948 Grand Commons Avenue, is open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m until next summer.
