A select few customers will receive free pastry this weekend as a Springfield bakery celebrates its grand opening.
The first 50 guests in line at Paris Baguette’s newest Fairfax-area outpost, located at 6811 Bland Street, will receive one of its many pastries for free as part of Saturday’s festivities.
Additionally, new users of the French-style bakery’s app will get a free pastry with a purchase.
Paris Baguette, which opened its first U.S. cafe in 2005, offers a variety of baked goods, including tarts, croissants and donuts. Along with hot breakfast sandwiches, the chain’s menu also features salads, sandwiches and wraps as lunch and dinner options.
The store will be the chain’s fifth in the Fairfax area, joining cafes in Tysons, Herndon, Centreville and Fairfax City’s H-Mart. The chain is currently in the midst of a nationwide expansion plan that is targeting 1,000 storefronts by 2030.
Paris Baguette will also celebrate the grand opening of a new location at Seminary Plaza in Alexandria this Sunday (Dec. 15).
“We knew that they were expanding in the U.S., especially in the Northern Virginia area,” Springfield franchise owner Euna Lee told FFXnow in May. “We thought it was a great opportunity.”
The bakery, which has been in its soft opening phase since last month, is open daily from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m on weekdays. The store opens at 7 a.m. on weekends.
According to Lee, the bakery has gotten “a wonderful welcome” from the community since its soft opening on Nov. 15.
“Local neighbors, both familiar with and new to the brand, have come in thanking us for bringing a Paris Baguette bakery cafe to their neighborhood,” she said in a statement. “I am thrilled to bring the warm and inviting environment of the cafe and our expertly crafted baked goods, cakes and brewed drinks to them! I hope to become more integrated with and serve this community in the future.”
