Update Tous les Jours is now open at the Row at Reston Station after a soft launch at 10 a.m. today (Aug. 14). A grand opening celebration with promotions and giveaways is expected in September, property owner Comstock Companies says.

Earlier: Reston Station residents and visitors will soon have a new option for getting their morning coffee or an afternoon snack.

The French-Asian bakery Tous les Jours is on track for a potential mid-August opening in the emerging Reston Row district, according to a spokesperson for property owner and developer Comstock Companies.

A precise opening date remains to be determined, as there are still “a few final factors” that need to be addressed, the spokesperson told FFXnow.

Tous les Jours will occupy approximately 3,622 square feet on the ground floor of the new office building at 1800 Reston Row Plaza, Suite 110. A sign for the cafe has been installed, and the space looked to be mostly furnished when FFXnow stopped by in late July.

According to Fairfax County’s permit database, the health department issued a permit after completing an inspection on July 28, but a certificate of occupancy is still under review.

With a name that translates to “every day,” Tous les Jours got its start in South Korea in 1997 before expanding to the U.S. in 2004. Along with Paris Baguette, it was part of a wave of Korean bakery chains that helped popularize French pastries in their home country and then sought to tap into Korean American immigrant communities on the other side of the Pacific Ocean.

Tous les Jours now has more than 1,700 locations worldwide, including over 110 in the U.S., per its website. The CEO of parent company CJ Foodville USA said last year that they plan to reach 1,000 stores just in the U.S. by 2030, an ambition that will be supported by a $47 million processing plant expected to open in Gainesville, Georgia, this year.

In Fairfax County, the chain can currently be found in Chantilly, Centreville, Burke and Annandale. A planned Tysons location is also expected to open this summer as part of the new Luna Hall at 8201 Greensboro Drive.

Luna Hall announced on social media that its bakery would open in early August, but a spokesperson for the food hall now says mid-August is more likely.

Tous les Jours will be joined at 1800 Reston Row Plaza by Noku Sushi, a Japanese restaurant from Leesburg that’s working on its first expansion. Located in a corner with a view of Sunset Hills Road, the restaurant has signs advertising that it’s hiring workers, but neither Noku nor Comstock commented by press time on when it might open.

For now, Vida Fitness is still the only retail tenant open in Reston Row, an expansion of Comstock’s mixed-use development at the Wiehle Metro station. Puttshack, a high-tech indoor mini golf facility, and Ebbitt House, a new American grill concept from the company behind Clyde’s of Reston, are also in the works.

The JW Marriott Hotel and Residences, which will have 243 extended-stay hotel rooms and 94 condominiums, is expected to open this fall. A temporary sign posted in the high-rise hotel’s windows suggests a September 2025 opening, but its website says spots can be booked “for October 2025 and beyond.”

JW Marriott didn’t return a request for comment by press time.
