Fast-casual seafood restaurant opens today in Fairfax City

Starting today, diners in Fairfax City will have a fast-casual seafood option added to their range of local restaurants.

California Fish Grill Casual Kitchen will officially open its doors at 11048 Main Street, making it the third addition to Fairfax City’s Kamp Washington shopping center since the beginning of August.

The brand, which offers “bold, flavorful seafood dishes made to order,” will begin serving diners at 11 a.m. As part of the grand opening, donations will be made to No Kid Hungry, an organization that works to end childhood hunger.

“We’re thrilled for the opportunity to introduce California Fish Grill to the Fairfax community,” CEO Bob Holden said in a statement.

Founded in California in 1998, California Fish Grill has developed a reputation for only offering sustainable seafood, taking an approach that protects ocean health while meeting ingredient demands worldwide.

The brand’s menu features a variety of dishes, including bowls, fish tacos, salads and “grilled specialties.” Diners can choose from a long list of proteins, including Atlantic salmon, branzino, wild rockfish, shrimp and more.

“Our mission is to make high-quality, 100% sustainable seafood more accessible through the fast-casual experience — where guests can enjoy bold flavors, great value, and a relaxed dining environment,” Holden said.

After its grand opening, California Fish Grill will be open daily from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m.

The brand’s Fairfax City location is not the only one opening soon in the D.C. area.

As part of an expansion to the Mid-Atlantic, California Fish Grill intends to open additional locations in Fairfax County’s Franconia neighborhood and in Rockville, Maryland.
