After opening its doors in Vienna last month, popular donut chain Texas Donuts is not slowing down.
The local pastry and breakfast brand is planning to add three more locations in Northern Virginia this year, including one in Chantilly, Texas Donuts owner Hoang Ton told FFXnow.
Along with stores in Alexandria and Ashburn, the brand is planning to scale up to seven locations by the end of this year. Ton’s personal website also lists a goal of having 10 total stores by the end of 2027.
According to Ton, the Chantilly store will be located at 13705 Route 50, leasing space in a commercial building whose current tenants include Chantilly Animal Hospital.
In Ashburn, the team is “actively reviewing” leasing options in the Goose Creek Village shopping center and its surrounding areas, but a final site hasn’t been secured yet, Ton says.
The Alexandria location likewise hasn’t been confirmed yet, but it will be in southeastern Fairfax County, not Alexandria City, Ton clarified. That location is expected to open later than the other two.
“We will keep you posted on our progress,” Ton said.
Founded in 2002 in the Lone Star state, Texas Donuts later expanded to Oklahoma and then Northern Virginia, where it can now be found in Centreville, Manassas, Lorton and Vienna.
The business serves “authentic, southern-style donuts,” croissant sandwiches and kolaches — sausages wrapped in puff pastry, often with other ingredients. Customers can choose from traditional glazed, frosted and filled varieties as well as more unique flavors, including character-themed donuts.
The chain currently features cheddar and jalapeno cheddar options for kolaches, though it is “working on expanding our kolache flavor offerings” in the coming months, Ton said.
Texas Donuts is open daily in Vienna, Lorton and Centreville from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday (excluding Tuesdays) and from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sundays.
