A fast-casual food chain has settled on Lincolnia for its next Fairfax County restaurant.
The salad and stir-fry chain honeygrow has signed a lease for the storefront at 6464A Lincolnia Road in Barcroft Plaza, filling the space vacated by Chico’s Natural Pet Market last summer.
It will be the chain’s sixth location announced in the Fairfax area. Four are currently serving customers, following the opening of honeygrow’s Fair Lakes location in August.
Honeygrow also announced this week that it’s adding three other locations nationwide, including one in Maryland.
“We are thrilled to start 2025 by expanding our footprint with these four new leases and several more in the pipeline,” founder and CEO Justin Rosenberg said in a statement. “These new locations represent markets that have long supported our mission, and we are eager to continue growing with them.”
Launched in 2012, the Philadelphia-based chain emphasizes high-quality ingredients and nutrition-forward options.
Honeygrow’s menu offers fully customizable dishes, primarily centered around different stir-fry and salad options. Diners can select from six different protein options, seven different bases and a “diverse” selection of various sauces, garnishes and more.
For diners who don’t want to build their own dish, honeygrow offers 11 different pre-designed options, including sesame garlic stir-fry and loaded Greek salad.
Honeygrow didn’t disclose a targeted opening date for the Lincolnia restaurant, which appears to be a ways away from opening its doors. Applications for two different permits were filed on Jan. 14, though neither one was formally issued as of this morning (Wednesday), according to the county’s permitting portal.
When it does open, honeygrow will provide a new type of cuisine in Barcroft Plaza. The shopping center currently offers eateries including Taco Zocalo, Super Pollo and a Glory Days Grill.
Honeygrow also has locations in the works in Fairfax City and West Springfield. The chain can currently be found in Fair Lakes, Reston, Tysons and at Mount Vernon Plaza in Hybla Valley.
