Vienna Restaurant Week returns this weekend with more than 40 eateries

In mere days, the Town of Vienna will kick off its annual Restaurant Week.

More than 40 restaurants will offer prix fixe menus, discounts or specials as part of the event, which starts Friday, March 7. A “festive social event” will be held from 4:30-6:30 p.m. that day at the Vienna Town Green, featuring music, giveaways and free refreshments.

“It’s a great opportunity for people to support their favorite spots or to discover a new restaurant or specialty shop in Vienna while supporting the local economy at the same time,” Vienna Economic Development Director Nicole Toulouse said in a statement.

This year, there will be 44 participating restaurants serving a wide variety of different dishes and atmospheres. Both dine-in and fast-casual restaurants are featured, with offerings including American, Asian, Indian, Italian cuisine and much more.

Among the new additions to the festivities is the Carnegie Diner & Cafe, which opened its doors last summer at 501 Maple Avenue West.

A full list of participating restaurants and their promotional menus is available on the event’s website.

The event, now in its fourth year, has long drawn praise from residents and businesses alike, according to the town.

“Year after year, restaurant owners report an increase in patronage during Vienna Restaurant Week, and restaurant-goers rave about the vast array of dining options Vienna has to offer,” Toulouse said.

Vienna Restaurant Week is scheduled to run through March 16.
