The latest addition to Fairfax City’s Kamp Washington shopping center is set to open next week.
Shake Shack, located just steps from the intersection of Main Street and Fairfax Blvd, will officially open its doors on Sept. 17 (Wednesday), a company spokesperson confirmed to FFXnow.
The new restaurant is located at 11040 Main Street, neighboring the Tatte Bakery and Cafe that opened in the shopping center last month.
To commemorate the opening, “the first wave of customers” when the doors open at 11 a.m. will receive custom company tote bags. Shake Shack will also donate $1 of each sandwich sold to Food For Others.
The new restaurant will be Shake Shack’s sixth in the Fairfax area, joining locations in Chantilly, Merrifield, Reston and Tysons.
Founded in the early 2000s, the New York-based chain has grown to more than 400 locations worldwide, including 25 alone in the D.C. area.
Shake Shack offers a variety of smashburgers, crinkle cut fries and a variety of hand-spun shakes. The brand also regularly offers limited time items, currently including the French Onion Soup Burger and Parmesan Garlic Fries.
Following next week’s opening, the restaurant will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Weekends will see the restaurant close at 11 p.m. — one hour later than normal.
