Onelife Fitness is officially heading to Tysons Galleria.

Months after it began feeling out the possibility of a facility in the mall, the Tysons-based fitness chain confirmed today that it will open a new flagship “wellness destination” in the former Saks Fifth Avenue storefront.

Expected to open in late 2027, the club at 2201 International Drive will feature a 14,000-square-foot strength training facility; indoor pickleball courts; a kids’ club; studios for HYROX training, Strike Boxing and Reformer Pilates; a six-lane indoor saltwater pool with a hot tub; a cold plunge; a sauna; and a recovery suite with red light therapy, HydroMassage and other services.

Spanning 110,000 square feet across two stories, one of which will be entirely devoted to recovery and restoration amenities, it will be one of the largest fitness and wellness offerings in the D.C. region, according to a press release.

“Every Onelife Fitness member who walks through our doors is working towards something: more energy for their kids, a stronger body as they age, or an hour that belongs only to them. We are designing Onelife Fitness Tysons Galleria around those moments,” Onelife Fitness CEO Ori Gorfine said in the release. “We are delivering the epitome of luxury experiences, proven programs, and authentic personalized care made accessible to residents throughout Northern Virginia.”

Founded in 2011, Onelife Fitness has more than 76 locations operating or under construction in the U.S., concentrated in the Mid-Atlantic and South. That includes two existing facilities in Tysons: a gym near The Boro at 8250 Greensboro Drive and a Signature Club at 1800 Old Meadow Road.

According to a spokesperson, the Greensboro Drive location will remain open for now, but operations will relocate to the new flagship facility at Tysons Galleria once construction to renovate the space is complete.

The 85,300-square-foot Greensboro building is being targeted for redevelopment with multifamily housing. A rezoning application from Paradigm Companies that would replace the fitness center with two residential high-rises is currently under review by Fairfax County staff ahead of a scheduled planning commission public hearing on Oct. 21.

The new Tysons location continues a push by Onelife Fitness to expand across the East Coast. In addition to opening an Ashburn outpost in May, the company has started construction on its new, 53,000-square-foot health club at the Mosaic District in Merrifield.

Taking over the former Custom Ink offices at 2910 District Avenue, the Mosaic District location won’t have a swimming pool, but it will offer many similar amenities as the Tysons gym, including strength and athletic turf training areas, group fitness classes, a Strike Boxing studio, a cold plunge, and a recovery studio.

A preview center where interested patrons can sign up to be founding members is currently open next to Neuhaus Chocolates. The Mosaic District club is expected to open in early 2027, the Onelife Fitness spokesperson told FFXnow.

According to the company, each Onelife Fitness club adds approximately 100 jobs in the community where it’s located.
