Author Leena Bhatnagar : The Tea Merchant

In honor of the 250th anniversary of the Boston Tea Party, meet local author Leena Bhatnagar who will discuss the global events that contributed to the Revolutionary War and how she explores them in her historical fiction novel, The Tea Merchant.

The novel takes a unique approach to US history by examining the links across cultures, by focusing on the role of the East India Company and developments in India and London affecting Boston, while told from the perspective of a female merchant from a Loyalist family who spies for the Sons of Liberty.
