A driver who allegedly made an illegal U-turn in Annandale last Thursday (April 24) turned out to be wanted for homicide.
Cameron Alexander Anderson was taken into custody at the intersection of Medford Drive and Lucerne Lane around 8:25 p.m., the Fairfax County Police Department said.
Displaced Businesses Win Concessions — VHC Health “has agreed to assist the small businesses it’s displacing from” West Falls Church’s Graham Center to make way for an ER and urgent care facility. After a campaign led by the Viet Place Collective, “VHC extended the deadline to vacate the property from March 30 to May 15. For homeschooling families, finding activities that fit a non-traditional school day can be a challenge. EvolveAll, the martial arts and fitness studio that’s served the local community for more than 15 years, is addressing that gap with a new Homeschool Youth Martial Arts (YMA) program.

Fairfax County police have arrested and charged a man for a shooting over the weekend that was allegedly sparked by a dispute over a storage container unit.
Officers were dispatched to the 3100 block of Woodland Lane in Mount Vernon’s Woodland Park neighborhood for a reported shooting at 8:10 a.m. on Saturday (April 26).
Plans for the nearly billion-dollar planned bus rapid transit (BRT) project in the Richmond Highway corridor took another step forward at the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors meeting on April 22.
