The Fairfax County Police Department is seeking the public’s help to identify a man accused of exposing himself at a store in Groveton last month.

The man allegedly exposed himself to a 9-year-old girl who was with her mother inside the Target store at 6600 Richmond Highway, according to scanner traffic.

A former teacher at White Oaks Elementary School in Burke will surrender her teaching license amid accusations that she physically assaulted students at the school.

Elizabeth Yoshimi Nagagata, who previously worked as a special education teacher at the school, entered an Alford plea on June 18 to two misdemeanor counts of assault & battery, allowing her to plead guilty while maintaining her innocence.

An aquatics director for the Fairfax County Park Authority was arrested last week after police say he had sexual contact with a juvenile recreation center employee.

Officers were called to the Audrey Moore Rec Center (8100 Braddock Road) at Wakefield Park in Annandale at 10:49 a.m. on June 8 for a report of a sexual offense, the Fairfax County Police Department said in a press release.

A Groveton man used his position as the leader of a local cultural organization to film minors with hidden cameras, the Fairfax County Police Department says.

Victor “Xai” Souphom, 52, was arrested and charged May 29 with two counts of unlawful filming of a minor — felony charges that, together, carry a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison.

A Herndon man is facing multiple criminal charges after allegedly grabbing and kissing a child.

The victim reported on Monday (May 12) at 8:40 a.m. that she had been walking in the 13300 block of Hungerford Place in the Hutchison neighborhood near Herndon when a man approached her, according to the Fairfax County Police Department.

Three Herndon residents were arrested last month on charges of attempting to exploit children in Loudoun County.

The men — identified as 45-year-old Ravi Shankar Reddy Gunipalli, 29-year-old Thomas Ian Wallace and 28-year-old Ruben Oben Nouta — were among eight people arrested by the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office during the week of April 21 as part of an “internet chat operation,” according to a press release.

A Lorton man will spend most of the next two decades in federal prison after coercing young girls to create and send him sexually explicit content on social media.

Jose Alejandro Belmonte Cardozo, who pleaded guilty in November to one count of transporting child pornography, was sentenced to 18 years in federal prison yesterday (Tuesday) by a judge in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.

A man stationed at the German military’s outpost in Reston will serve more than six years in prison after pleading guilty to downloading thousands of images and videos of child pornography, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Virginia says.

Peter Markus Kuttke, a 49-year-old German national who lives in Reston, was indicted by a grand jury on Nov. 7, 2024 on one count of receiving child pornography, according to court records.

A man accused of distributing sexually explicit images of two minors while living in Reston pleaded guilty yesterday (Tuesday) to exploiting children.

Now a South Carolina resident, Christopher George Schoenmann, 43, created child sexual abuse material and traded it to a Minnesota man in exchange for sexually explicit photos of his own children during a three-year period, federal prosecutors said.
