(Updated at 12:10 p.m. on 6/16/2022) Pupatella Neapolitan Pizza and a juice bar from Pressed are fully open for business at the Mosaic District in Merrifield.

After roughly 10 months of construction and other preparations, Pupatella announced on Monday (June 13) that its newest location is now operating seven days a week, from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday through Thursday and until 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

Springfield will get a bit sweeter this summer with the likely arrival of Duck Donuts.

The fast-growing donut chain is opening its first Springfield location at Old Keene Mill Shopping Center (8424 Old Keene Mill Road). It’s moving in next to Mezeh Mediterranean Grill and into the former home of Exquisite Jewelers.

Amazon is bringing its version of a grocery store — Amazon Fresh — to Lorton this month.

The business plans to open a 38,000-square-foot location on June 23. It’s one of three locations coming soon to Northern Virginia.

McLean residents turned out in force yesterday (Wednesday) for the grand opening of Fairfax County’s newest Lidl — its first north of I-66.

Starting with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 7:40 a.m., the 25,000-square-foot grocery store saw a steady stream of customers pack the parking lot at 1330 Chain Bridge Road, drawn by promises of giveaways and special deals.

MidnighTreats, a local business owned by Vienna resident Johnny Nguyen, celebrated its soft opening on Friday (May 27). A grand opening is anticipated in a few weeks.

The long-anticipated opening of Wegmans in Reston is nearing, as the grocer begins hiring for the 85,000-square-foot business.

Wegmans is set to open in early 2023 at the new Halley Rise development, a $1.4 million mixed-use neighborhood located at the intersection of Reston Parkway and Sunrise Valley Drive.

Get ready, McLean: Lidl is about to make its debut.

As promised, the German grocer known for its low prices will welcome customers to its newest store this summer, with a grand opening celebration on June 1, the company announced today (Friday).

Office supplies are out, and cheaply priced groceries are in at Tysons’ Pike 7 Plaza.

The German grocery store chain Lidl has signed a lease for space in the shopping center at 8305 Leesburg Pike, spokesperson Chandler Spivey confirmed to FFXnow.

(Updated at 5:50 p.m.) The Swiss chocolatier that invented the modern truffle is bringing its sweet confections to Tysons Corner Center.

Läderach Chocolatier Suisse will take over the mall’s former Godiva store on first floor, right across the hall from Macy’s. The new store will have a soft opening tomorrow (Friday) with an official launch on Saturday (May 7), just in time for Mother’s Day, according to Läderach spokesperson Ryan Bowling.
