A Herndon man has been arrested and charged a second time in connection with a crash that injured a pedestrian in Reston more than a decade ago.
Police have accused Enda Browne, now 43, of crashing into a woman who was crossing Reston Parkway at Spectrum Center at around 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 16, 2014.
Fairfax County might soon start making headway on intersection improvements slated for funding by the Reston Transportation Service District created nearly a decade ago.
The advisory board that provides input on the district’s tax rate and priorities voted without objection on Tuesday (March 10) to request that the county allocate $1 million each to initiate analyses of proposed projects on Reston Parkway at Bluemont Way and New Dominion Parkway as well as one for Hunter Mill Road at Sunset Hills Road.
Reston Parkway will be one lane narrower over the next couple of weeks, as repairs continue on the bridge over the Dulles Toll Road.
Starting at 9 a.m. today (Monday), the parkway’s right northbound lane will be closed along the bridge, shifting the other northbound lanes to the left, the Virginia Department of Transportation announced on Friday (Jan. 2).
