Starkist HQ in Reston Now Open — Relocating from Pittsburgh, the tuna manufacturer opened its new corporate and administrative headquarters at 1875 Explorer Street in Reston Town Center on Tuesday (April 5). The office can accommodate more than 70 employees, and the company is marking its arrival with a community distribution event for the Reston-based nonprofit Feed the Children. [Starkist]

The movie theater is expected to close this year.

The lights are about to go dark at Reston Town Center’s longtime movie theater.

Bow Tie Cinemas did not renew its lease for this year, according to a representative for Boston Properties.

Outdoor theater to spring to life in Reston Town Center

A new kind of outdoor theater is coming to fruition in Reston Town Center this spring.

As promised last year, the Herndon-based NextStop Theatre, Reston Community Center, and the Reston Town Center Association (RTCA) will debut a contemporary spin on William Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” at Reston Town Square Park.

Report: Reston Town Center pavilion, fountain to get major upgrades

Reston Town Center’s common areas will get their first major upgrades in more than 30 years, according to a report.

Boston Properties is preparing to launch a multi-million-dollar renovation of Fountain Plaza and areas near the pavilion, the Washington Business Journal reports.

Compass Real Estate to open in Reston Town Center

Compass Real Estate — one of the largest independent real estate brokerages in the country — plans to set up shop in Reston.

The New York-based company, which went public last year amid the pandemic and a housing bubble, has signed a lease in Reston Town Center, according to county permits.

Report: D.C. Peruvian restaurant will expand to Reston Town Center

Pisco y Nazca Ceviche Gastrobar, a Peruvian restaurant with locations by Miami and in D.C., is looking to expand to Reston.

The Washington Business Journal reported the news last Friday (March 4), saying it’s slated to open at 1875 Explorer Street, where Vapiano was located until it closed suddenly in 2019 after facing allegations of money laundering.
