McLean residents looking to get their photos from the recent winter holidays framed might want to head to the Chesterbrook Shopping Center tomorrow (Saturday).
Starting at 10 a.m., Framebridge will open the doors of its newest custom framing store, located in the shopping center at 6234 Old Dominion Drive. To celebrate its grand opening, the business will give out archival prints of Great Falls Park that customers can get framed.
Nestled in between J. McLaughlin and Call Your Mother, the 694-square-foot McLean store is Framebridge’s 29th overall and eighth in the D.C. region. The only other Fairfax County location is at the Mosaic District in Merrifield.
Here’s more from a press release on Framebridge, which got its start a decade ago as an online business, and what to expect from the McLean location:
Framebridge was founded in 2014 by DMV resident Susan Tynan after experiencing frustration with the traditional custom framing process, finding it expensive, time consuming and intimidating. With Framebridge, Tynan has reimagined the custom framing experience by combining quality craftsmanship with modern convenience, clear pricing and a curated selection of frame styles. The brand opened its first store in 2019 in Washington, DC and has continued to successfully expand into brick-and-mortar locations in 13 states (CT, DC, GA, IL, MD, MA, NC, NY, NJ, PA, TX, and VA) while maintaining its commitment to making custom framing more accessible and enjoyable.
The McLean location showcases Framebridge’s signature creative approach to custom framing, featuring a curated gallery wall featuring providing inspiration and showcasing local artwork, a framed Virginia pennant, a pair of Nationals baseball tickets, a Dave Matthews Band album, a completed Shenandoah National Park puzzle, and an Alexander Ovechkin Washington Capitals Jersey.
All Framebridge stores have expert design teams offering personalized consultations to help customers select the perfect frame style and design for pieces of all sizes. Customers know exactly what their project will cost before they begin, and can preview their final piece before placing their orders. All frames are handcrafted using premium materials, including acid-free mounting materials, UV-protective acrylic, and solid hardwood frames. Framebridge also offers same day framing options for digital pictures with their Gift and Go collection.
In the midst of a renovation now expected to finish this summer, per its website, Chesterbrook has seen some significant changes in its retail roster. Last year, the shopping center welcomed the clothing store Apricot Lane, the skin care and medical spa SkinSprint, the beauty shop Bluemercury and Call Your Mother’s permanent deli.
Still to come in 2025 are the fashion store Sassanova, a membership-based clinic for pets from Small Door Veterinary, and the restaurant Sorn Thai.
