The D.C. region’s annual Summer Restaurant Week is coming back next week, and around 30 restaurants around Fairfax County are joining in.
The restaurant week is run by the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington (RAMW), which also organizes winter restaurant weeks. Restaurants offer three-course meals for brunch, lunch and dinner with some wine and cocktail pairings at some locations.
Restaurant week is scheduled to run around the region from Monday, Aug. 18 through Sunday, Aug. 24. This summer’s iteration will feature 350 participants total, including 22 first-timers, according to RAMW President and CEO Shawn Townsend.
“Summer Restaurant Week is the perfect opportunity to discover and support our vibrant local dining scene, share unforgettable meals with friends and family, and savor the passion and creativity of our chefs. All at an incredible value,” Townsend said in a statement. “… We can’t wait to celebrate with diners and showcase the flavors that make our region so special.”
