With the holiday shopping season on the horizon, Tysons Corner Center is continuing to stay busy, welcoming a number of new retail stores in recent weeks and hinting at more still to come.
The clothing brand Reformation, which prides itself on its sustainable practices, is opening its doors this morning (Thursday) on the mall’s second floor at Unit E001U, near the Apple store and Nespresso.
Originally started in 2009 as a vintage clothing store in Los Angeles, California, Reformation says its goal is to “prove that sustainability and profitability can coexist in fashion,” pledging to roughly halve its greenhouse emissions from 2019 levels by 2030.
Carbon neutral since 2015, the company offers a recycling program at all of its stores, where customers can recycle worn items for store credit, and the electricity use at its new Tysons store is fully offset with renewable energy, according to a press release.
Totaling 1,141 square feet in size, the Tysons Corner Center location sells a “curated selection” of Reformation’s apparel, including dresses, tops, pants, denim, shoes and handbags.
“Tysons Corner is synonymous with incredible shopping in Northern Virginia,” Reformation Vice President of Global Development Sarah Hooe said. “This new store — which happens to be our 60th retail location — is an excellent opportunity to reinforce our position of strength in the DMV. We’re looking forward to meeting new customers and offering existing friends of the brand a new way to shop with us in the region.”
The Tysons location is Reformation’s third in the D.C. region, joining stores in Georgetown and Bethesda Row. Though this is its first permanent store in Fairfax County, the company offered customers a preview with a temporary pop-up at the Mosaic District in Merrifield that closed this past spring.
Reformation will celebrate its opening in Tysons by giving out mini floral bouquets from local florist Chacha Flowers with any purchase on tomorrow (Friday), while supplies last.
Going forward, the store will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday through Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays.
Reformation’s arrival comes on the heels of a few other recent openings at Tysons Corner Center, including Cole Haan, a downsized Gap, a showroom from the electric vehicle maker Rivian and Kim Kardashian’s lingerie brand Skims.
Gift basket store coming soon

Signage recently went up for the gift basket shop Harry & David, which is “coming soon” to a second-floor space next to Yeti that was previously occupied by Peloton.
The Tysons showroom was one of six locations in the U.S. and Canada that Peloton closed at the end of September, but the exercise company is maintaining a presence at the mall with a “micro-store” located right in front of the Plaza entrance.
Now owned by 1-800-Flowers.com, Harry & David was established in 1934 by the sons of a businessman who traded a hotel in Seattle for a 240-acre pear orchard. The company is now known for its food gift baskets and boxes, which can come with fruit, wine, meat and cheese, chocolates and more.
Traditionally a mail-order business, Harry & David appears to be looking to expand into traditional retail. In addition to running a flagship store in Medford, Oregon, the brand made its East Coast debut in March with a store in Huntington, New York.
It’s unclear when Harry & David anticipates opening at Tysons Corner Center. Its parent company didn’t respond to an inquiry by press time, and a mall spokesperson said more details will be shared “soon” with an announcement of upcoming openings ahead of the winter holidays.
Previously reported retailers that might appear on that list include:
- Vietnamese eatery Clay Bowl
- Bora Bora Smoothie Cafe
- Pakistani fashion brand Ethnc
- Women’s clothing store Edikted
- The Escape Game
- Maggiano’s Little Italy, which departed Tysons Galleria in September. The Italian restaurant’s new location is now under construction and slated to open next spring.
“Coming soon” signs have also appeared for Mavi Jeans and the mattress store Casper, which says it’s “snoozing until fall 2025.” Plus, relocations are planned for several businesses, including Uniqlo, Under Armor, Zara, Oakley and Shotted.
This story was updated to reflect a change in date for Reformation’s Chacha Flowers giveaway, which moved from Saturday to Friday, and to correct the store’s shoppable square footage and when the company became carbon neutral. Reformation has been carbon neutral since 2015, an achievement that got certified in 2021, a spokesperson says.
