Toastique’s expansion in Fairfax County will continue next month with an opening at Reston Town Center.
The gourmet toast chain is planning to hold a grand opening for its new location at 11900 Inspiration Street on Saturday, March 7, offering $50 in reward dollars to the first 100 customers who make a purchase of at least $10.
The first day of operations will also bring a DJ “and other fun surprises,” with doors opening at 8 a.m. and closing at 5 p.m., according to a press release.
Additional promotions will be offered in the following days as well:
- Sunday, March 8: free drip coffee with a purchase of $10 or more
- Monday, March 9: get a 12-ounce juice on tap for $5 with any purchase
- Tuesday, March 10: Free coffee or espresso with any purchase
- Wednesday, March 11: 16-ounce smoothies for $6 all day
To put the deals in perspective, smoothies typically cost $10, and a juice over ice is $9.50, per the chain’s online menu.
Founded in 2018 by former college cheerleader Brianna Keefe, Toastique has a flagship location in D.C. with franchises across 17 different states. In addition to customizable toast options, its menu includes juices, smoothies in both drink and bowl forms, coffee, wellness shots, and some in-house treats, such as granola bars and peanut butter cups.
The business has only recently started to venture into Fairfax County, taking over the former Greenheart Juice shop in Vienna last November and launching a Great Falls location on Jan. 24.
The Reston franchise will be operated by local resident Sharon Barnhart and her son, Jake.
“We immediately fell in love with the Toastique concept: a menu that’s delicious and approachable while creating a space where everyone feels welcome,” Sharon Barnhart said in the press release. “The town of Reston is so vibrant with such a large focus on wellness which is why our restaurant will take a thoughtful approach to a variety of customers, no matter their dietary needs, to enjoy healthy, fresh foods.”
Toastique is one of several retailers expected to soon join Molly’s Dog Care in the expansion area of Reston Town Center. According to developer and property owner BXP, spring or summer openings are expected for Dogfish Head Alehouse, the Italian restaurant Grazie Nonna, Yunnan by Potomac Noodle House, Livewell Animal Hospital and a second location for the Vienna eatery Clarity.
The expansion project has also delivered approximately 1.1 million square feet of new office space across two buildings that were fully leased, as of mid-January; the new Skymark apartments; and the Marriott AC Hotel and Residence Inn, which opened in January 2025.
Plans for another phase of development that will include additional office and retail space, housing, and a performing arts center were approved by the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors on Nov. 18.
