Located in Boro Park outside Él Bebe, the biergarten was conceived as a partnership between property owner and developer, The Meridian Group, and Metropolitan Hospitality Group, which opened the Mexican restaurant and the bistro Circa at The Boro in December 2022.

“As The Boro continues to grow, we’re always looking for new ways to activate our public spaces and create experiences that bring people together,” a spokesperson for the development said. “We partnered with Él Bebe to launch The Boro Biergarten as a seasonal gathering place in Boro Park, featuring outdoor seating, lawn games, live music, and a relaxed atmosphere where people can meet friends, unwind after work, or spend time with family on the weekends.”

Él Bebe will supply all food and beverages at the biergarten, curating an exclusive new menu with tacos, rice bowls, salads and appetizers as well as beer, wine, cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks.

Now posted online, the menu includes a couple of options just for kids. Patrons can also expect different “seasonal offerings and happy hour specials throughout the summer,” The Boro spokesperson said.

After it opens, The Boro Biergarten will typically operate through on Thursdays and Fridays from 4-8 p.m. and Saturdays from noon-8 p.m., though service may vary depending on the weather.

“The Biergarten is a fully outdoor experience, so operations are weather-dependent and will run seasonally during the warmer months,” The Boro spokesperson told FFXnow.

The new biergarten isn’t The Boro’s first experiment with an outdoor bar concept, as the development previously hosted a pop-up for The Sandlot starting in summer 2021.

Though The Boro offers plenty of events throughout the year, the addition could help it compete for visitors with other developments in Tysons, such as Capital One Center and Scotts Run, which have found success, respectively, with Starr Hill Biergarten at The Perch and the pop-up Shipgarten.
