Expect rain until 2pm, followed by a slight chance of rain after 5pm, with a high near 48. The light and variable wind will shift to south at 6 mph in the afternoon. There’s an 80% chance of precipitation, and new amounts may range from a tenth to a quarter of an inch. Tuesday night will see rain, mainly after 7pm, a low around 44, and a south wind of 6-8 mph. Anytime Fitness in Twinbrooke Shopping Center will close amid landlord conflict

A gym in Kings Park West will close later this spring, but apparently not by choice.

Operating since 2017, Anytime Fitness will shutter at the Twinbrooke Shopping Center in April as the result of a conflict with Federal Realty, which owns the property, gym owner Brian Samuel told FFXnow.

    Large-scale farmers market to open near Reston Town Center Metro

    EatLoco Farmers Market is preparing to open a location at the Halley Rise mixed-use development, bringing a new weekly farmers’ market to Reston.

    The new market will be held Sundays, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. in the parking lot of Halley Rise near the intersection of Reston Parkway and Sunrise Valley Drive. March 29 will be the opening day.

    Dick’s House of Sport coming to Tysons Corner Center

    A major sporting goods store is making a play for Tysons Corner Center.

    Dick’s House of Sport is on track to open at the mall in fall 2027, Doug Healey, property owner and developer Macerich’s senior executive vice president for leasing, told investors during an earnings call on Feb. 18.

    Glory Days Grill not reopening in Merrifield after fire, new tenant sought

    Months after an August 2025 fire, Glory Days Grill has decided to make its closure in Merrifield permanent.

    The sports bar, located at the Providence Place shopping center (formerly the Pan Am Shopping Center), announced the closure in an email to customers. A Fairfax County notice posted outside the 3059 Nutley Street restaurant deemed it unsafe to occupy following the Aug. 22, 2025 kitchen fire.

    Fairfax City Restaurant Week returning with specials at over 20 eateries

    Fairfax City Restaurant Week will return for its winter rendition later this week, offering specials at 20-plus restaurants around the city.

    The restaurant week will run from Friday, Feb. 27 through Sunday, March 8. Full-service restaurants will offer multi-course special menus, while fast-casual eateries will set their own specials.
