Precipitation chances are 80%, with rainfall between a quarter and half an inch possible. Tonight, expect showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 7 pm, followed by likely showers and thunderstorms until 8 pm. The low will be around 71°F, with precipitation chances remaining at 80% and rainfall between a tenth and a quarter of an inch, with potentially higher amounts in thunderstorms. Wonder food hall to open Chantilly location

The New York City-based Wonder food hall will continue its expansion across Northern Virginia with a new location opening in Chantilly.

The new location at 13958 Route 50 is expected to open in spring 2027, a spokesperson confirmed to FFXnow. An exact opening date was not yet available.

New mobile bookstore serving Northern Virginia to launch at Merrifield event

A new bookstore-on-wheels will be rolling into communities across Northern Virginia starting later this month.

Owl & Ink, a mobile bookstore focusing on events in Fairfax, Prince William, and Fauquier counties, will wheel into its first event — an evening of reading and sipping during Silent Book Club at The Casual Pint (2676 Avenir Place) — near the Dunn Loring Metro station in Merrifield on July 20.

Espresso and matcha bar opens in Vienna

A new espresso and matcha bar, inspired by Japanese coffeehouse culture, has opened in the Town Of Vienna.

Kin Espresso Bar had its soft launch at 145 Church Street NW yesterday (Monday). Located at the rear of the commercial building, the new coffeehouse is serving specialty coffee, ceremonial matcha and desserts in an environment that focuses on hospitality.

‘America at 250’ art exhibition in McLean highlights works by 45 local artists

There’s bad news and good news for anyone who wants to celebrate the nation’s semiquincentennial this weekend.

While soaring temperatures will create dangerous conditions during daytime hours Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4, an indoor option for commemorating the occasion is available, courtesy of the McLean Art Society.

Banner’s Hallmark gift store has closed at Fair Oaks Mall

Hallmark is no longer greeting customers at Fair Oaks Mall, permanently closing its store there last week.

“We regret to inform you that our Fair Oaks Mall location is closing today,” the store said in an email sent to its customers on Friday (June 26). A coupon was attached for 20% off at other Banners’ Hallmark stores, “as a token of our gratitude.”
