    Clouds will increase, bringing a high near 21 and wind chill values as low as -4, accompanied by a north wind at 6 to 10 mph and gusts up to 20 mph. Saturday night, heavy snow is expected mainly after 9pm, with temperatures dropping to around 17. An east wind will blow at 3 to 6 mph, and there is a 100% chance of precipitation.     An already busy Centreville shopping center flanked by H Mart, Spa World and various eateries was even more crowded than usual when the Japanese department store Teso Life opened last Friday (Jan. 16).

    The chain carries a variety of Japanese and other Asian home goods, food, personal care items and more. Its new location in the Old Centreville Crossing shopping center (13860 Braddock Road) is the first in Virginia and the second in the D.C. region, following an opening in Rockville, Maryland, in 2024.


    Update — Hershey Super Sweet Adventure announced in late February that its opening at Tysons Corner Center will be postponed “due to unexpected permitting delays.”

    “We appreciate our guests’ understanding and apologize for any inconvenience. We are contacting ticket holders and will share our new opening date in the coming days,” the company said in a statement. “We look forward to welcoming families soon.”

    A popular Korean BBQ restaurant in Fairfax City is making plans to expand to Greenbriar Town Center this year.

    Construction on Meokja Meokja’s second location at 13041 Lee Jackson Memorial Highway just outside Chantilly should be completed sometime between March and May, staff told FFXnow during a recent busy dinner shift.


    Washingtonian released its annual ranking of the D.C. region’s 100 very best restaurants yesterday (Tuesday), championing culinary offerings to seek out in 2026 from across the District, Northern Virginia and Maryland.

    For the third year in a row, Joon in Tysons placed higher on the list than any other Fairfax establishment, though at no. 35, it has slipped down from 23rd in 2024 and 24th last year.

    Toastique, a gourmet toast eatery with an expanding presence in Northern Virginia, will have an incentive for the first customers at its new Great Falls location.

    The new Toastique at the Great Falls Center (9891 Georgetown Pike) will open at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 24. The first 100 customers in line who make a $10 minimum purchase will get $50 in Toastique Reward Dollars.


    After opening its doors in Vienna last month, popular donut chain Texas Donuts is not slowing down.

    The local pastry and breakfast brand is planning to add three more locations in Northern Virginia this year, including one in Chantilly, Texas Donuts owner Hoang Ton told FFXnow.
