Fairfax Commonwealth’s Attorney Steve Descano is seeking a protective order against a man allegedly making threats against him and his family, WJLA first reported.

The man, whose name was redacted, was prosecuted by Descano’s office for other incidents of harassment and violating protective orders.

A Herndon man is in critical condition after being shot by police following a domestic dispute in which he stabbed his wife in their home over the weekend.

On Sunday, April 14, police were dispatched to the 900 block of First Place around noon in response to a 911 call from a woman who reported that her husband had stabbed her in their home, according to a Herndon Police Department press release.

A Manassas man was arrested this weekend after allegedly firing a gun at another vehicle during a road rage incident in Centreville.

According to a Fairfax County Police Department press release, police responded to the intersection of Compton Road and Centreville Road in Centreville on Saturday, April 13, after it was reported that a shooting had occurred.


Firefighters at Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Station 25 shared a cheeky message welcoming the new bridge at the Washington and Old Dominion Trail.

(Updated 4/16) A 30-year-old Fairfax man was arrested last week for a felony hit and run and driving on a revoked operator’s license after a crash in Vienna.

The incident occurred last week around 7:49 a.m. on April 8 at the intersection of Maple Avenue and Pleasant Street.


Several Fairfax County School Board members are working to revise the division’s boundary adjustment policy, which they believe is key to addressing the school system’s overcrowding issue.

Although there is agreement that a new policy is needed, some members are cautious about the timing and methods of its implementation.
