Apple’s days at Fair Oaks Mall are running low.

The tech giant will have its last day of business at the shopping mall (11750 Fair Oaks Mall) this Thursday (Nov. 7), an employee confirmed to FFXnow. The closure will precede a relocation to the nearby, outdoor shopping center Fairfax Corner, where the store will open Saturday (Nov. 9).

An Oakton man has died after he was hit by a driver while riding an electric bicycle in the Fair Oaks area yesterday (Wednesday), the Fairfax County Police Department said in a news release today.

Officers responded to the intersection of West Ox Road and Tilton Valley Drive at 12:14 p.m. for a crash involving a bicyclist who was struck by a gray Kia sedan, according to police scanner traffic.

A 77-year-old Fair Oaks man has been arrested and charged with murder after allegedly stabbing and killing his wife at their home in the Highland Oaks neighborhood.

Officers were called to the 3900 block of Highland Oaks Drive in Fair Oaks for a report of a stabbing at 6:18 p.m. on Monday (July 29), according to the Fairfax County Police Department.

Fairfax County staff are in talks with multiple developers about converting two office buildings in the Fair Oaks Business Park, including the NRA headquarters, into residential units, a county official has revealed.

When an officer went to investigate an allegedly stolen vehicle at Fair Oaks Mall this morning (Friday), one of the vehicle’s passengers commandered the officer’s cruiser and crashed it near the Fairfax County Government Center, police say.

The Fairfax County Police Department says it arrested three people in the incident, which sent two officers and the person who allegedly stole the police cruiser to the hospital.

The Monument Drive Commuter Parking Garage will become operational this Saturday, June 22, following a ribbon cutting on Thursday (June 20), according to a Fairfax County Department of Transportation (FCDOT) spokesperson.

A Chantilly-based property management company wants to transform the Fair Oaks Business Park into a 22-acre mixed-use development.

According to Fairfax County records, the project, dubbed Fairfax Crossing, aims to replace the 1980s office park with 706 housing units, 20,000 square feet of retail, a 1.6-acre central park and 2.25 miles of pedestrian walkways.

Officers were dispatched to Bath and Body Works in Greenbriar Town Center (13009 Route 50) around 5:59 p.m. in response to a larceny, according to the Fairfax County Police Department.

Police arrested two people over the weekend for allegedly stealing merchandise worth thousands of dollars from Tysons Corner Center and Fair Oaks Mall.

According to the Fairfax County Police Department, detectives with its Tysons Urban Team (TUT), which focuses on retail theft and other mall-related crimes, received an alert at 1:07 p.m. on Saturday (May 11) that a “retail theft crew” had been spotted at Fair Oaks Mall (11750 Fair Oaks Mall).

A second Ugly Dumpling appears to be opening in Fairfax inside Fair Oaks Mall.

The New-Jersey based Chinese restaurant, specializing in a variety of dumpling, dim sum, wontons and traditional noodle dishes has submitted a permit application for interior renovations in suite G-213 within the shopping center, per county records.
