Fairfax County police are investigating a crash on Braddock Road that sent a motorcyclist to the hospital with serious injuries.

Officers and medics were dispatched to Braddock Road at Little River Turnpike in Lincolnia around 8:44 p.m. for a crash involving a motorcyclist and a driver.

Residents at an apartment building in Tysons have been grappling with a series of vehicle thefts and break-ins this summer.

The Fairfax County Police Department is investigating the thefts of at least two vehicles that were reportedly taken from the parking garage of the recently rebranded The Jones at Tysons (1500 Westbranch Drive) in early June.

An alligator wandered free on the grounds of a Huntington motel for some time early this morning (Monday).

The reptile appeared to break free from its enclosure in the parking lot before pacing around the grounds of the Budget Host Alexandria on Richmond Highway, according to scanner traffic. Fairfax County police officers responded to the incident at 12:10 a.m.

An aquatics director for the Fairfax County Park Authority was arrested last week after police say he had sexual contact with a juvenile recreation center employee.

Officers were called to the Audrey Moore Rec Center (8100 Braddock Road) at Wakefield Park in Annandale at 10:49 a.m. on June 8 for a report of a sexual offense, the Fairfax County Police Department said in a press release.

A man has been arrested and charged with last week’s fatal stabbing at a bus stop on Richmond Highway in Groveton, police say.

Officers with the Metro Transit Police Department officers took Robert Reed, 56, into custody at the Huntington Metro Station on Sunday, June 15, ending a multi-day search for a suspect in the June 10 stabbing, the Fairfax County Police Department announced today (Monday).

A Groveton man used his position as the leader of a local cultural organization to film minors with hidden cameras, the Fairfax County Police Department says.

Victor “Xai” Souphom, 52, was arrested and charged May 29 with two counts of unlawful filming of a minor — felony charges that, together, carry a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison.
