Taste of Tysons Corner is scheduled for Saturday, May 3, from 1-4 p.m. at Tysons Corner Center (1961 Chain Bridge Road), and will feature a mix of food and events.

In the coming months, Tysons Corner Center will shake up its retail lineup with a mix of brand-new stores and existing brands undergoing renovations.

The first newcomer is Mejuri, which will open its 42nd shop on the mall’s second floor near Nordstrom this Friday (April 11). This will be the Canada-based jeweler’s second location in the D.C. region, following a 2023 opening at Bethesda Row in Maryland.

Tysons Corner Center’s Plaza — home to its cherry blossom festival, Hello Kity Cafe Truck and other sacred traditions — will now be brought to shoppers by a corporate sponsor.

Instead, the plaza is being rebranded as “PenFed Plaza” as part of a new partnership with PenFed Credit Union, which has its corporate headquarters in Tysons at 7940 Jones Branch Drive.

The iconic all-pink Hello Kitty Cafe Truck will be making its annual return to Tysons Corner Center this weekend.

The truck is scheduled to set up at the Events Plaza at Tysons Corner Center (1961 Chain Bridge Road) from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. this Saturday, March 22.

The former Fairfax County police officer who fatally shot Timothy McCree Johnson outside Tysons Corner Center in February 2023 has been sentenced to three years in prison.

Fairfax County Circuit Court Judge Randy Bellows sentenced former sergeant Wesley Shifflett to five years of incarceration today (Friday) with two years suspended, the Fairfax County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office announced.

Customers who stop by Tysons Corner Center’s Nordstrom this weekend will get a chance to sample free food — and meet the chefs behind the culinary creations.

As part of a Black History Month collaboration, the department store’s Marketplace Cafe will host chefs David and Tonya Thomas, founders of the Baltimore-based catering company H3irloom Food Group, for a pop-up meet and greet on Sunday (Feb. 23) from 12:30-2:30 p.m.
