A new juice shop is still in the works at North Point Village Center (1432 North Point Village Center) in Reston.
A representative for Greenheart Juice says an estimate of the opening date will become clearer by the end of the month, but didn’t provide an explanation for the delay. The business was previously expected to open in August.
Reston Association’s Design Review Board approved an application for Greenheart Juice’s signage at an Oct. 8 meeting. According to the application, the business estimates starting the sign installation on Nov. 1 and finishing around Nov. 14.
Greenheart specializes in juices, acai bowls, smoothies and salads. It has other locations in Aldie, Leesburg, Vienna, Courthouse in Arlington and D.C.’s Western Market. A Ballston location recently closed with plans to reopen in a smaller space.
The Reston shop will take over space formerly occupied by Jerry’s Subs and Pizza.
North Point Village Center will soon bid farewell to Bobby’s Bagel Cafe, which is slated to close for good on Oct. 31 despite the popularity of its pumpkin-shaped bagels. The cafe is reportedly getting replaced by Call Your Mother, which opened its new Vienna location today, but a spokesperson could only say that the business is “maybe” looking at expanding to Reston.
This story was updated to reflect all of Greenheart Juice’s locations, including the status of its Ballston shop.
