A local outpost for organic cotton home textiles will open its doors in Merrifield later this week.
The latest location of Boll & Branch, a “leading designer and retailer of luxury home textiles,” will open in the Mosaic District on Thursday (May 22), according to a company spokesperson.
The new store is located at 2921 District Avenue, Suite 110 — the former home of CustomInk’s headquarters.
“It’s an ideal location to connect with local customers and offer a premium in-store experience centered on quality, comfort, and craftsmanship,” a spokesperson said.
Founded in 2013, Boll & Branch sells a variety of sheets, bedding, pillows and more — each made of 100% organic cotton.
Boll & Branch’s Mosaic District store will be its 11th nationwide. Though it is the brand’s first D.C.-area location, a store in Bethesda, Maryland, is scheduled to open later this year.
The opening of Boll & Branch is the latest change at the Merrifield shopping center, following the arrivals of furniture store Herman Miller and the joint venture of District Candle Lab and Fawne.
Other tenants coming soon to the Mosaic District in the coming months include the donut shop chain The Salty, the bakery Maman and the bridal fashion store Zakaa Couture. An outlet of the Asian street food restaurant Hawkers is also still under construction in the former Four Sisters space at 8190 Strawberry Lane.
