The latest restaurant to open in Tysons West aspires to serve up quality Korean barbecue with Chipotle-style convenience.

In a family of self-described foodies, CupsPops manager Brandon Seo and owner David Seo, his father, developed the concept as an answer to the question of what to eat when you crave Korean-style chicken or marinated beef but don’t have the time for the usual tabletop grill set-up.

Modan, a new Japanese restaurant coming to the Scotts Run neighborhood of Tysons, is getting closer to a launch.

The restaurant is on track to open on the ground floor of the Heming apartments at 1788 Chain Bridge Road this fall, according to a press release. While a opening day remains to be determined, the business shared more details about what customers can expect once that date arrives.

The fast-food chain will take over the former Burger King drive-thru restaurant at 598 Elden Street, proposing renovations that the Herndon Architectural Review Board will discuss at a work session tonight (Wednesday).
