Expect a sunny day with a high temperature near 54 degrees, accompanied by a northwest wind of 10 to 15 mph that shifts to the southwest in the afternoon. Wind gusts may reach up to 26 mph. As for Friday night, the sky will have increasing clouds and a low temperature around 44 degrees. Southwest winds will blow at 10 to 13 mph, with gusts potentially reaching 18 mph. Springfield Town Center visitors looking for burgers can soon ‘have it your way’

One of the world’s biggest burger chains is planning to set up shop in Springfield Town Center.

Representatives for Burger King requested three building permits for a space inside the mall earlier this month, according to Fairfax County’s permitting portal.

N. Va. artist finds inspiration at home in new Tephra ICA exhibit

The latest exhibition at the Tephra Institute of Contemporary Art (Tephra ICA) stays close to home when it comes to both artist and subject matter.

The Reston museum is launching “We Dwell in Between,” a solo show by Northern Virginia-based artist Marie B. Gauthiez, today (Thursday) at its satellite gallery in the Signature apartments (11850 Freedom Drive). An opening reception and talk by Gauthiez will be held tonight at 6-8 p.m.

Annual showcase of McLean student artwork to return in March

The students of McLean will take center stage in two new arts exhibitions set to open next month.

To celebrate Youth Art Month, which is typically held every March, the McLean Project for the Arts (MPA) is bringing back its annual youth art shows, which showcase work by students in elementary through high school in the McLean and Langley pyramids.

Rooftop bar to open at Reston Town Center’s Marriott hotel this weekend

At Reston Town Center’s newest dining venue, customers will be able to munch on wagyu sliders and sip cocktails while looking over the Metro station 16 stories below.

SYN Rooftop Bar & Lounge, which takes its name from the Greek word for “together,” is set to open on the top floor of Marriott’s recently launched AC Hotel and Residence Inn (1975 Opportunity Way) this Saturday (March 1).

Restaurant blending American, Afghan flavors opens at Twinbrooke Centre

A new restaurant aiming to blend popular American dishes with classic Afghan flavors has begun serving diners.

Noosh Grill kicked off its soft opening at 9573 Braddock Road in Twinbrooke Centre in the Kings Park West neighborhood today (Wednesday), bringing a family-inspired Halal eatery to the area.

NEW: Preschool to replace Franconia laser tag spot next year

A private preschool franchise will soon replace a longtime laser tag spot in Fairfax County’s Franconia neighborhood.

Franchisees of The Goddard School officially purchased the nearly 1.8-acre property at 5508 Franconia Road last week, they confirmed to FFXnow, paving the way to make the school a reality.
